Poppy fields Photo shoot
As a little girl, I lived in the countryside and was surrounded by fields. I never thought, the fields would be one of my favourite backgrounds to photograph on.
I didn’t appreciate the place where I grew up enough. I wanted to live in a big, busy city and have a fancy apartment. Weirdly now, I wish I had a nice little cottage with a big garden in the middle of nowhere instead. Who knows, maybe one day…
In the meantime, I just love discovering new, stunning locations, like this one…
On one evening in June, I asked my daughter Stephanie to model for me. She’s not a big fan of being in front of the camera, but she agreed to help.
It was a last minute decision. The weather looked pretty bad, but I had a good feeling inside. When we got there, the sky changed into violet-pink and the golden sun started to shine. How lucky were we?
Later on, I photographed some lovely families in the poppy field in Gloucester. I am so glad someone has planted all those beautiful wild flowers in there for everyone to admire.
First, I met beautiful Jen and her son, Jaxon, who just turned 2. He was interested in flowers, bees and butterflies more than the camera, but once I got his attention, I captured his pure cuteness.
Then, I had a pleasure to photograph this fantastic couple,
Danielle and Gaz. It’s wonderful to witness how madly in love they are. I will tell you a little secret, they are trying for a baby so I keep my fingers crossed for them as they have waited for some time already.
Last, but not least, I photographed Emma and her family.
I met Emma some time ago, way before the pandemic, when I visited her lovely Boogie Beat group. She sings, she teaches and entertains, she is so talented! All the babies, older children and their parents love her. She is amazing! So is her family, husband Pete and two adorable girls, Sofia and Freya.
The poppies are all gone now and we need to wait till next year to see them again. At least we have some beautiful photographs to look at. Hope you found poppies as well and took some lovely photos.
Love,
Magda xx
