Lavender Love
Summer has been very intense for me this year. I planned some mini sessions in stunning Cotswolds Lavender and it turned out to be a great success. I have met many beautiful people, children and families. I also met a friend I haven’t seen in ages. Some families were expecting a baby, some celebrated their birthday and others just wanted a lovely memory. One thing they all had in common, was the love for lavender!!
This is the very first family I photographed in lavender fields, mum Angharad, dad Marc and baby Ginny. And it was their first family photoshoot since baby Ginny was born, so I feel very privileged they chose me as their photographer.
We had so much fun during the shoot. We all laughed and laughed through the whole session. I think you can really feel the positive vibe just by looking at those photos.
Then I met lovely mum Zoe and her gorgeous daughter Scarlett. The girls were moving to a new house and wanted some beautiful photos to hang on the walls. I hope they are loving their new place!
Milena, Pencho and their son, Ian were in the lavender fields with me as well. It wasn’t easy that day as the wind blew really hard and Milena’s long hair was covering her face most of the time. Luckily, we found the way to make her beautiful hair float gracefully in the air.
Malia turned 2 this summer and her lovely mum, Barbara, wanted a beautiful memory of her cute daughter being two years old. They arrived when it was cold and it looked like it might rain any minute. The sky was covered in scary, dark, stormy clouds. I started taking photos, when Malia and her sister Alicja were in their coats. Then all of the sudden, the sun started to pop out so the girls were able to take off their coats, enjoy the sun and the beautiful fields and I was able to take some lovely shots of them.
The weather was really weird when this beautiful family arrived for their session. It was quite nice and sunny at the beginning. At one point the wind blew away the buggy and I had to chase it down the hill. And then, after a few minutes, it started to rain so we all were rushed back to our cars. Thankfully, I had enough time to capture some beautiful family moments for them. I loved the way they stayed super positive despite the weather conditions.
Hope you had chance to visit this amazing place and take beautiful photos. I can’t wait to come back there next year :)
Maybe you can join me?
Love,
Magda xx
