Cheltenham Cake Smash photoshoot
If you would like to celebrate your child’s first birthday, you’re welcome to book a fun cake smash session to have a beautiful memory of this important milestone.
You can book this session for the date of your baby’s birthday, but some parents prefer to book it before their baby is 1, so they can have those photos ready for either the First Birthday party invitations or as thank you cards. Whatever you decide, I promise, the photos will be as cute as a button.
This session will leave you with a tummy ache from the amount of laughter you will have.
Babies this age are so adorable and fun!!
They will make you smile, they will make you laugh and they will make you chase them as they run away or crawl away from the set.
Where to do your baby’s First Birthday Shoot?
Your baby’s first birthday photoshoot can be done on a location in or around Cheltenham, in my studio or in the comfort of your own home.
With the location shoots, you might need consider the time of the year your baby is born before booking. The best lighting is about an hour before sunset, so we would need to start the session about two hours before sunset. During summer, the sun sets quite late and it can be tricky to keep you baby awake for that long so it might be easier to book an indoor shoot.
The other thing you need to consider is of course… the unpredictable British weather…
First Birthday Photo shoot indoors
For studio and home photoshoots, you can choose 2-3 different sets/backgrounds. I always start with photos without cake before things get messy ;)
First few photos will be portraits of your baby in a cute outfit. You can bring your own or use one from my collection.
I will capture your baby sitting, standing, crawling or whatever the stage they are at the moment of their photoshoot is.
I have millions of cute props, like ladders, bowls, baskets, chairs and beds, so it will never be boring with me.
I do not have already made backdrops, I create my own sets according to the colours and theme you would like the photos to be.

Magda is a true professional. She is an absolute gem! This is our second time using her services as we had such a great time with her the last time we done a 1st birthday cake smash.
Both times we used her she was very detailed in what she had to offer and what was likely to happen during the day of the shoot.
